The book of love is long and boring. No one can lift the damn thing. It's full of charts and facts and figures and instructions for dancing. But I love it when you read to me. And you, you can read me anything. The book of love has music in it. In fact, that's where music comes from. Some of it's just transcendental, Some of it's just really dumb. But I love it when you sing to me And you, you can sing me anything. The book of love is long and boring And written very long ago. It's full of flowers and heart-shaped boxes And things we're all too young to know. I love it when you give me things And you, you ought to give me wedding rings. And I, I love it when you give me things And you, you ought to give me wedding rings.

How many times can I resolve to start over? Every time I mess up with a person, or with a school assignment, or whatever it may be, I always resolve that from now on, it will definitely be different.
I will start my papers a week ahead of time!
I will not be afraid to talk to people!
I will decide on a major!
I will make myself not care that my best friend replaced me, and doesn't even care!
I will get over him, and stop being afraid be with someone else!
I will go to the Rat after class with people! I will sit with them and carry on an intelligent conversation!
I will clean my room!
I will exercise!
I will stop eating out of boredom!
I will update my resume! And get a job!
I will call my grandmother more often!
I will be good to my parents, for they are far too good to me!
I will talk to my professors about class, grades, papers, life!
I can't even count the times I've resolved to do better. I can't even count the number of time's I've done it this week, and it's only Tuesday. Maybe I'm addicted to the rush I get. Just thinking all of these things, I feel better already. Clean, new, successful. Then I'll remember that I haven't actually done any of them, and then comes the regret. It's a vicious cycle. Where can I find that special inspiration to stick with something? If I were to ask Jean-Paul Sartre, he's say that I'm free, responsible for myself. Thanks, JP. That's the PROBLEM.
The library is silent right now. And someone's phone keeps ringing, "This is Why I'm Hot." hahahahaha.

This morning, I just stood in the shower and cried. I cried for myself, my mother, Matt, Colleen, Gerri, Kaila, my dad, my grandmother. For the world, the war, the present, and the future.

10:19 pm - A Brand New Day
|
So, raise your hand if you love that song. *raises hand, of course* Sting is my god.
Isn't there also a band called Brand New Day? I'm out of touch with all this rock'n'roll nonsense you kids listen to.
I'm a bit nervous about this LiveJournal. Everyone's that I've ever read is incredibly thought-provoking and serious. (which is why I joined.) You will find none of that here. I learned on Xanga, so that'll be my style. Have mercy on me.
